Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most renowned wildlife destinations. This massive 600-meter-deep caldera was formed from a collapsed volcano and is home to over 25,000 mammals, including the Big Five, spotted hyenas, and rare wild dogs.
It also boasts over 500 bird species and a beautiful lake within the crater floor. During your visit, you will explore its diverse landscapes and encounter a rich array of wildlife. After a full day of game viewing and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha by early evening.

DAY 1
Arusha/Moshi To Ngorongoro Crater
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Moshi or Arusha, driving towards the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife haven teeming with animals. Unique for its natural enclosure, almost all the wildlife remains within the crater walls, offering fantastic opportunities for game viewing. Rhino sightings, large pride of lions, and other predators like cheetahs are common. You’ll spend the day on an extensive game drive, enjoying lunch by the hippo pond, before ascending the crater walls and returning to Arusha, where you'll arrive in the early evening.
